A City on the Surface  (2026)

16mm analogue film, black and white, 1 min 49 sec, projected onto a wall.

A film by Sasiwimon Paosanmuang and Sofia Gil de Biedma

A City on the Surface observes the riverside development in Vauxhall, London, through its reflective architectural surfaces. Glass facades, balustrades and polished stone repeatedly catch and reproduce their surroundings. In the summer light, fragments of neighbouring buildings, passing bodies and landscape appear, disappear and overlap across these surfaces. Architecture becomes a temporary screen of moving images, through which the city is continuously reflected and rearranged.
